2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use TakeawayDriver, we may collect your name, business name, contact details, postcode and preferred operating areas, availability, vehicle and delivery experience, registration responses, correspondence, complaint records, technical data such as IP address and browser information, and records of policy consent.

If verification is introduced or requested, we may also collect identity, driving licence, vehicle, MOT, insurance, right-to-work or other compliance information. We will explain the check and information required before collecting it.

3. Why we use your information

• To register and manage driver and takeaway expressions of interest.
• To introduce suitable independent drivers and takeaway businesses.
• To communicate about the Leeds pilot, requests, matches, support and platform changes.
• To operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the website.
• To investigate complaints, prevent misuse and meet legal obligations.
• To send optional launch or marketing updates where you have consented, or where another lawful route applies.

4. Our lawful bases

We normally rely on steps requested before entering an arrangement, performance of an arrangement, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the platform, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where required. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time by contacting us.

5. Who we share information with

We may share information with carefully selected hosting, email, IT support and security providers; professional advisers; insurers; regulators, law enforcement or courts where required; and a driver or takeaway when necessary to make an introduction. We do not sell personal information.

We share only what is reasonably necessary. A matched party may become an independent controller of information it receives and must use it lawfully.

6. International transfers

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we will use an approved safeguard or another lawful transfer mechanism.

7. How long we keep information

We currently aim to keep unsuccessful or inactive registration records for no longer than 24 months after the last meaningful contact; routine website security records for up to 12 months; and complaint, contractual or legal records for up to six years where needed to establish or defend claims. Verification records, if introduced, will have a documented retention period appropriate to the check. We may keep information longer where law, an active dispute or safeguarding concern requires it.

8. Security

We use access controls, secured hosting, restricted administration, logging and other proportionate measures. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please tell us promptly if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

9. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and may withdraw consent. Contact admin@takeawaydriver.co.uk. We may need to confirm your identity and normally respond within one month.

10. Complaints to the ICO

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

11. Children

TakeawayDriver is intended for adults aged 18 or over and is not designed to collect children's information.

12. Business transfer and changes

If operation of TakeawayDriver transfers to TakeawayNinja Ltd or another entity, relevant information may transfer as part of that business change. We will update this notice and provide appropriate information before or at the time of transfer.
